Hello all! Welcome to another week of feeding the Maw, the gluttonous cosmic sinkhole we must keep topped up with videogame news, lest it expand and masticate the entire universe. We're up against it this week, because no less than two RPS writers are taking holiday, leaving the Maw's thousand-ton dumbwaiters and condiment howitzers dangerously understaffed. Senior staff writer Mark is off on Friday - I can already hear the lamentation of various spouses in his on-going game of Crusader Kings 3....

Claws for thought. Both Nintendo and Sony got in on the new release fun last week, and with our latest look at the UK charts now in, it's time to see which came out on top. Alas, if the headline wasn't enough of a giveaway, it was Marvel's Wolverine that clawed its way to victory and landed in the top spot for its debut week. This put Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (which still came out of the gate strong) in second, and would you look at that, the Switch 2 release has bumped LEGO Batman: Legacy o...

Trinkets of Time. Nintendo is going all-out for its upcoming release of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on 5th November 2026. The big headliner, of course, is the release of a 40th anniversary-themed Zelda console, which hits shelves a little earlier on 29th October 2026. Then, we're getting two different physical Ocarina SKUs: a standard instrument from Nintendo itself (which remains somewhat elusive) and an electric licensed variant made by Hori.
