That's Fire, bro. Happy weekend, citizens of Dagsion! This week might have felt a little quiet after the double-Direct blowout of the last, but we still got a new first-party launch, some news from Capcom out of Tokyo Games Show, and Nintendo satiated our need for that electronic Ocarina by finally putting the damn thing up for pre-order.

Nodusfall, aesthetically at least, is about as far from a typical HoYoverse game as you can get. Gone are the bright colours, cute creatures, and bountiful anime women. In their place, we get all the familiar trappings of dark fantasy: mysterious magics, vicious monsters, and a dingier kind of realism that - and I'm sure we've all thought it - feels a little bit Elden Ring. This week, it's a Chris Tapsell (that's me!) triple-bill - a triple-Tap? - as the team's been either quite stretched or rightfully enjoying a few days off here and there to catch up from a hectic Gamescom period, leaving me to do a proper bodge job of filling in. Expect the usual mobile game addiction, late review apology, and a rule-bending wildcard (it's not that wild).

Apple hardware engineering VP Tom Marieb spoke with TechRadar and shared some candid thoughts about Apple's upcoming iPhone Duo. The iPhone Duo uses a matte nano-texture display, which is meant to cut down on glare and minimize the visibility of the crease. When asked if the iPhone Duo's crease would be more visible over time, as that's what tends to happen on other foldables, Marieb said the nano-texture display would help. He asked people to hold the company "accountable" on crease visibil...

Allowing you to experience the "equivalent" of 60fps. Capcom has shown ongoing support for the Switch 2 since it launched last June, and the next game it's releasing is Dragon's Dogma 2 in October. In an interview with Japanese outlet Famitsu recently, the game's producer Naoto Oyama has revealed some performance details about this version of the game. While the title targets 30fps, frame generation will allow you to experience smooth visuals at the "equivalent" of 60fps.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max has a battery capacity over 20 watt-hours, which means there are additional shipping requirements. If an iPhone 18 Pro Max needs to be shipped somewhere, its maximum battery capacity has to be limited through firmware. According to Apple, the iPhone 18 Pro Max uses an "innovative battery-firmware solution" that limits battery capacity to below 20Wh between when the iPhone is manufactured and its delivery to a customer. Activating the iPhone removes the limit to make the...
