Apple may be exploring a way to let search providers show sponsored results inside Visual Intelligence, according to code uncovered in iOS 27. The find comes from MacRumors' Aaron Perris, who said in a post on X that the code points to Apple allowing search providers to insert their own sponsored results into Visual Intelligence, rather than Apple selling the ad space itself. He compared it to the sponsored product listings already seen on Amazon and Google. It is not clear whether Apple would...

In the iOS 27 Release Candidate that Apple released to developers on Wednesday, Apple added the long-rumored ability to customize the Camera app's controls. Way back in May, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple planned to make the Camera app more customizable, but it's only now that the feature has made it into the beta roadmap. To customize the Camera app's controls, tap the button with six circles inside in the bottom-right of the Camera's UI and look for a new Edit button in the top-le...

Choice-and-consequence horror game Until Dawn 2, which only just got a release date, has also gone up for pre-ordering on the PlayStation Store. And the revealing bit about this is that the PS5-exclusive title is priced £45 on the UK PS Store (as spotted by Push Square), which makes it a slightly cheaper offering than a full-priced game normally is.

Settling into my demo of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, I was slightly appalled by how many tutorial pop-ups I had to click through in order to just play the damn game. Granted, the slice I'm playing comes from 'a few hours' into the experience - our ragtag bunch of environmental terrorists-cum-saviours of the planet have just procured themselves an airship, and Square Enix needs to ensure we all understand the guide rails that keeping this wobbly demo in place. Fine.

Apple has detailed how iOS 27 was rebuilt to adapt in real time to the iPhone Duo, the company's first foldable iPhone, reshaping the interface as the device folds, unfolds, and switches between its two displays. Lock Screen controls, the Dock, and app navigation elements now sit along the side of the display instead of across the bottom, freeing up vertical space for content. When open, the iPhone Duo shows two Home Screen pages. The status bar is now a circular, flexible system that fits int...

Took something perfect and painted it Red XIII. It's strange to think that at the start of 2026, we had zero Final Fantasy VII Remake games on Switch 2, and now we are mere months away from the third — which launches simultaneously across all platforms on 8th April 2027. Revelation, the third and possibly most-anticipated of the trilogy, will cap off the iconic RPG story, and based on everything we've seen so far from its many, many trailers, it looks like it'll go out with quite a bang.

Rockstar Games have issued a statement making clear they're sticking to their guns, as the final hearing in the legal battle between them and a group of former staff they fired last year begins. The hearing's set to run from today, September 10th, until at least October 15th. The Independent Workers’ union of Great Britain (IWGB) and fired staff re-emphasised their stance earlier this week, announcing they'd be hosting a rally ouside the tribunal venue this morning.

My first thought about the new art for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake was: Oh, we're seeing too much. That was my first thought, but not my first reaction. My first reaction was pure emotional response. A familiar character turned around in the trailer and I literally recoiled, a move that I didn't even know I had in my arsenal.
