We already knew that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was going to launch sometime in 'spring 2027', but today director Naoki Hamaguchi took to Sony's State of Play livestream to inform us all that the game has a locked-in release date: 8th April, 2027. File size sweats. Square Enix popped up at the end of Sony's State of Play showcase to reveal Final Fantasy VII Revelation's April 2027 release date, and we've now got some more info on the Switch 2 physical release. As shown on the Square Enix website, Revelation will be a Game-Key Card release on Switch 2, with pre-orders now available for £69.99 / $69.99. Considering that the first two entries in the Remake trilogy received a similar GKC release, this is hardly surprising, but it's even less ...

Likewise, Anthropic's status page indicates Claude is experiencing elevated errors. All of the companies are investigating the outages, which might be related to Cloudflare issues that are affecting multiple websites that use ...

Where we’re going, we don’t (always) need roads. I read a comment about Star Racer somewhere that I quite liked, the gist being that it’s the latest in the ‘F*** it, I’ll do it myself’ genre. This describes a release where an indie developer has decided to fill a gap left open by a bigger studio. The clamour for a new mainline entry in the F-Zero series has touched on melodrama for years. On one side, there’s the constant demands calling for something…anything new (my voice included). In respons...

Visions of the past. Was anyone else slightly taken aback by the reveal that Final Fantasy Resonance would be the series' first foray into HD-2D? Perhaps it was the Pixel Remasters or the three Dragon Quest remakes, but this pairing seemed so obvious to me that it's a wonder Square Enix hadn't done it before. After going hands-on with the game at a recent event, I'm pleased to say that my suspicions were correct: Final Fantasy and HD-2D is a wonderful pairing.
