Will we get a release date? Level-5 has announced a new showcase, appropriately titled 'Level-5 Vision 2026 II', scheduled to take place on 10th September at 5 AM PT / 8 AM ET / 1 PM BST / 2 PM CEST. This is a follow-up to the company's previous Vision showcase back in April; an event that admittedly didn't really bring the goods in terms of new information or release dates. Hopefully this next one will be a bit more exciting.

It's pretty obvious to anyone that's been paying attention that the games industry is in a pretty rough place at the moment. No matter where you look, there are mass layoffs: Sony, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Epic Games… the list goes on. The reasons are myriad, but generally companies place the reason for 'restructuring' at the door of the contraction of the market as a result of the pandemic boom in gaming, rising development costs, longer production cycles (and higher wages), shifts in ...

It is no secret to those paying attention to the video game industry that Saber Interactive's fortunes have change dramatically in recent years. First surging into prominence with the release of World War Z, it has been thrust into the limelight with big hit Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Using that momentum, it has brought forward new entries in long-dead gaming series like Turok and Stuntman, and remakes of hallowed old games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Why the rush, The Blood of Dawnwalker? Your protagonist Coen's family have only been kidnapped by a vampiric dictator who's slowly draining them of blood. Let the kid take his sweet time in finding a way to deliver them from the castle dungeon. After all, he's got a tonne of bandits he could be killing and other fun little adventures he could be stumbling across as he explores Vale Sangora. File under "Hmmm". Nintendo has historically been very cagey about who actually develops its games; particularly in the last handful of years. With the likes of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and Mario & Luigi: Brothership, we typically didn't know for definite who the developer is until close to launch (despite often having fairly accurate hunches). So naturally, it only makes us even more curious about who is working on the upcoming Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake...
