Songs of the Past update also confirmed. CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered will launch on Switch 2 on 29th September 2026. Boasting updated visuals, improved traversal, and much more, the update is said to be free for all owners of the game. How this works on Switch 2 is unclear, but we'd imagine those with digital copies will be able to upgrade for free, no bother. We'll need to get come clarification on physical copies, though.

The Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past - which is due to arrive 12 years after the base game was released - has finally been detailed in a debut trailer, but the surprise news is there's also a The Witcher 3 - Remastered edition coming that considerably overhauls the game, and it'll be a free upgrade for all existing owners of the game. Remastered comes on 29th September - soon!

Imbricate human history all over again and throw climate change into the mix in Humankind 2, which arrives 2027

The idea behind Humankind is a funny one, in that it pulls from real-world history to essentially let you craft historical fanfiction. I suppose that's true of many strategy games, but this one's all about mixing and matching different cultures throughout history. And now, it's asking you to do so all over again, as a sequel in the works. Zero points for guessing what it's called, because it's very plainly titled Humankind 2.
