It didn't take long for the mood to dampen around Oblivion Remastered's Switch 2 launch, as Bethesda followed up the reveal with the announcement that it (alongside the Skyrim and Fallout 4 ports) would be relegated to a code-in-a-box physical release. Things got brighter four months later, as the studio revealed that the game would, in fact, receive a proper on-cart physical release, and it'd launch in August.
