Not long now. The Star Fox remake for Switch 2 is just around the corner, and Nintendo is expecedly in full marketing mode. So in case you missed it, the company recently put out a ridiculously cool movie-inspired poster for the game that you simply have to see. This week in PC games: synthpunk platforming, haunted house hoovering, and a game about growing a black hole

Happy this week all! Please, please come save us from the tormenting sun. The mercury is forecast to hit 38 degrees in south Britain this week, which might not seem very high to you readers from the Bermuda Triangle, but please remember that British people are all descended from selkies and grindylows, that our "breathable fabrics" consist mostly of horsehair, and that we all live inside up-turned witch's cauldrons. My up-turned cauldron resides at the exact epicentre of the incoming solar bligh...

iPhone 17 Prices Could Go Up as Soon as This Month

There is growing speculation that Apple may hike the prices of its iPhone 17 lineup as soon as this month, following CEO Tim Cook's recent comments about "unavoidable" price increases. Last week, Cook told The Wall Street Journal that Apple is no longer able to absorb the increased cost of memory and storage chips, both of which are in high demand from AI and neocloud companies as they continue to build more data centers. The scale of the AI infrastructure buildout has prompted debate over wheth...

CD Projekt boss "knows for a fact" a surge of games made purely with generative AI are coming, but doubts "whether this is really the path to follow"

As AI continues to be shoehorned into game development with more regularity, Micha&lstrok Nowakowski - joint CEO of Witcher 4 developers CD Projekt - has said he "knows for a fact" games built purely with generative AI are on the way. Mercifully, he's got "doubts" about whether this method's the ideal way forward, meaning there's no need to worry at this juncture that Ciri'll soon be battling hordes of ChatGPThouls.
