Japanese Charts: Combined PS5 Sales Can't Even Beat Switch Lite

Price hikes are starting to bite. The latest Japanese charts are here thanks to Famitsu, and yet again, we can see that Pokémon Pokopia has beaten the competition to take the top spot with 23,738 sales. Meta Quest headset prices are going up on April 19

The RAM crisis has prompted another company to jack up hardware prices. Meta says it will be increasing the price of Quest headsets on April 19. The Meta Quest 3 will get a $100 hike to $599, while the Quest 3S will be $50 more expensive at $350 (for a version with 128GB of storage) and $450 (256GB). Meta is blaming the increases on the rising costs of RAM, which has skyrocketed in price due to a shortage of chips as AI companies gobble up as much memory as they can for their data centers. Valve look like they might be rolling out 30-day Steam price tracking for everyone, making it easier to spot when game discounts are at their discountiest

Some digging through the Steamy innards of Steam could point to Valve having plans to roll out 30-day game price tracking beyond the European countries it's currently a feature in. That'd make it easier to tell at a glance whether the discount that's tempting you towards blowing some cash on another addition to your backlog is actually the boon you think it is, or an increase on some previously lower price.

"people forget we’re a relatively small indie team". Yooka-Replaylee is a great reimagining of the enjoyable yet flawed 2017 original, yet for many the lack of a 60fps performance mode on Switch 2 was disappointing. Well, the good news is that it's finally here! After months of painstaking work to optimise the game, Playtonic has dropped a new 60fps mode for all owners on Switch 2, and it's legit great. How do I know? Well, the studio kindly invited me over recently to test it out and speak with...

Yooka-So-Smoothy. After its release in October 2025, Yooka-Replaylee is finally playable at 60fps on Switch 2 thanks to a new update from Playtonic Games. Many were understandably disappointed when the Switch 2 version launched with its performance capped at 30fps (heck, it was one of just two 'cons' in our 8/10 review), so this will no doubt prove to be a welcome new update for fans of the 3D platformer.

Don't get too excited though, because it sounds like the Switch 2 version will be a 'code-in-a-box' monstrosity, meaning no cartridge will be included, only a poxy sheet of paper with a download code printed.
