Get in the videogame, loser, it's time to break into an "impossible palace", stab insect gardeners with your saber, and rescue your mother from some bastard prince. Out today, Journey Of The Garden Rose is the latest "old school 3D action-adventure" from Renegade Sector, a developer whose affection for pulp beams forth from every pixel. Look at the blue tiles, pink pillars and sockety murals of that courtyard. Look at that grass - more like verdigris than vegetation. Look at the delightful taran...

Here's an interesting tidbit from Mark Gurman's profile of John Ternus for Bloomberg: Apple is apparently working on a smart home sensor. The article said Ternus is leading development of a trio of new home products, including a tabletop robot with a swiveling screen, a smart home hub with Apple Intelligence and facial recognition, and "a small sensor for managing home security." The sensor has an internal codename of J450, according to Gurman. In his previous reporting, he has referred to this ...

A Game-Key Card release has been scrapped. Developer IKINAGAMES is dipping its toe into the RPG genre later this spring with Starbites, a sci-fi inspired adventure with turn-based mech combat, which comes to Switch 1 and Switch 2 on 21st May 2026. There aren't enough RPGs with mechs in our eyes, and Starbites is filling in that gap, with salvager and protagonist Lukida manning her slingshot-focused Motorbot as she attempts to save the desert planet of Bitter.

While it certainly has its critics, the iPhone Air appears to have validated Apple's decision to retire the iPhone Plus, if new results from an independent analysis are anything to go by. Crowdsourced Speedtest data published by Ookla suggests the iPhone Air captured 6.8 percent of iPhone 17 generation samples in the U.S. during the fourth quarter of 2025, up from the 2.9 percent share the iPhone 16 Plus managed in the same launch window a year earlier. However, the gains seem to have come at th...

The premise seems simple enough. LG promises that you can set its Sound Suite speakers anywhere and Dolby’s home theater tech will make them perform well. The soundbar, subwoofer and speakers don’t have to go in prescribed locations for the best results, which means you can place them where you need to and move them as you see fit. Of course, this all hinges on the reliability of the underlying tech and LG’s ability to make individual speakers that actually sound good. Like most premium soundba...

Turning off betting odds previously required using the Settings app. Launched in 2024, the Apple Sports app is available on the iPhone in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and many countrie...

After a massive but divisive launch last week, Crimson Desert is the talk of the town. From its use of gen-AI that supposedly was "unintentionally included in the final release" to talk from anonymous sources that point to an unfocused creative vision, much of the buzz around the game is wary. That said, the title is a financial success with over 2 million copies sold already and a notable amount of player support on social media.

When the Uber Black isn't premium enough, New Yorkers now have the option to call for a Wheely instead. Whimsical name aside, the London-based company is breaking into the US market by offering its chauffeur-hailing services to residents of New York City first, as first reported by Bloomberg. Think of it like Uber, but for business executives and VIPs who prefer better service and riding in Cadillacs and Mercedes. A newly surfaced internal 1999 Apple campus video of Steve Jobs provides a rare, unfiltered look at the company's post-turnaround strategy. The video is a recording of a July 27, 1999 employee gathering at Apple's Cupertino campus, uploaded by former Apple software engineer Akira Nonaka, who worked at Apple from 1991 to 2000. The 15-minute talk appears to have been recorded informally, likely by an employee present at the event, and has apparently not previously been shared online. The remarks c...

Few developers can - even after all this time - get you quite so swept up in their enthusiasm as Peter Molyneux. It's an enthusiasm that has, famously, got him into trouble in the past, when passion and promise have failed to meet reality by quite some margin - with players often caught in fallout. So it's hard not to be sceptical when it comes to 22Cans and Molyneux's latest project, Masters of Albion. But - as someone who grew up on the games of Bullfrog, the games of Lionhead - after listenin...
