So here’s the question...

Amazon is reportedly planning to re-enter the smartphone market more than 10 years after its last attempt. According to a Reuters report, the mysterious phone is internally codenamed "Transformer" and is being developed by the company’s devices and services unit. There isn’t a whole lot to go on right now, but it probably won’t surprise many to learn that the phone will likely lean heavily on AI. According to Reuters’ sources, Alexa functionality would be a core part of the experience, but Amazo...

About time, right? Nightdive Studios has confirmed that a new update for System Shock on Switch 1 and 2 is now available for download, bringing huge improvements to the game's performance. Patch 2.1 has been applied across all available platforms to nuke any nasty bugs, but it's Nintendo's consoles that receive the most TLC. Apple collected nearly $900 million in App Store fees from generative AI apps in 2025, according to data from analysis firm AppMagic, covered by The Wall Street Journal ($). The overwhelming majority of Apple's AI app commission revenue came courtesy of ChatGPT downloads leading to subsequent subscriptions, which alone accounted for around 75 percent of the above total. Elon Musk's Grok app came a distant second, making up just 5 percent of the revenue. Apple is now said to be on course to earn ...

Apple's CEO Tim Cook today said the Mac just had its "best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers," which suggests that the new MacBook Neo has been a hit with customers buying their first laptops or switching from Windows. Tempered weirdness. If you’ve been in the market for an Analogue 3D, then chances are you’ve already seen 8BitDo’s accompanying 64 Bluetooth Controller. Although originally only available in black or white, 8BitDo now has a variant that pays homage to the original N64 grey colour scheme, so now seems the perfect time to check it out and see if it’s worth your money. Coming in at £34.99 / $44.99, the 8BitDo 64 is actually slightly more affordable than Nintendo’s own N64 wireless controller for Sw...

Slay The Spire 2's first actual proper major update is upon us, an avalanche of balancing tweaks and fixes for the roguelite deckbuilder that has approximately two goals: making some of those insectile cards less appalling, care of the previously announced Phobia Mode, and dialling back the prevalence of infinites – that is, card combos with effects that allow you to carry on playing them forever in a single turn.

NVIDIA started an online firestorm this week when it announced DLSS 5 at its GTC conference. The company claims it's meant to deliver "photorealistic" lighting and materials in games by using neural processing. But it differs considerably from previous versions of DLSS, which were focused on using machine learning to upscale lower resolutions and generate additional frames, and gamers online aren’t too happy. To help us break this down, Anshel Sag, VP and principal analyst at Moor Insights and S...
