Warframe's long-awaited Switch 2 upgrade finally has a release date, and there's a Dead by Daylight-style mode coming too

Way back in the halcyon day of last July, Digital Extremes CEO Steve Sinclair told me the team was "excited" to bring Warframe to Switch 2 and was eager to "really push [the machine] to its limits, see what it can do." The only problem? The studio was still waiting on a dev kit from Nintendo. Some eight months on, though, that Switch 2 release is almost here: Digital Extremes has confirmed it's coming to Nintendo's latest console on 25th March.

Poll: 20 Years On, Does Your DS Lite Still Have Charge?

Green light. After last week's 3DS 15th anniversary, we knew it was only a matter of time before another big hardware birthday sent us spiralling; we just didn't expect it to come this quickly. Today marks 20 years since the launch of the DS Lite in Japan — a fact that we are totally comfortable and okay with. Yes, on 2nd March 2006, Nintendo launched the slimmer, glossier, more colourful counterpart to the OG phat DS, and it was a beauty.

The Supreme Court doesn't care if you want to copyright your AI-generated art

As AI-generated artwork becomes more commonplace, it still won't be able to be copyrighted, according to US courts. On Monday, the US Supreme Court declined to hear a case about whether an artwork generated with the help of AI can be copyrighted. The refusal means that a lower court's decision to reject the copyright request will stand. The case dates back to 2018 when Stephen Thaler applied for a copyright of an artwork called A Recent Entrance to Paradise. Unlike using ChatGPT or Midjourney, T...

Despite studio closures and project cancellations, PlayStation Studios is still hiring for new roles

In spite of launching a handful of unquestionable winners this generation like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Helldivers 2, or Ghost of Y&omacrtei, PlayStation Studios has struggled with making the PS5's tenure super exciting. Of course, development cycles going totally off the rails and first-party exclusives (outside of Nintendo) becoming less and less important overall are part of the problem, but a failed live-service push can't be over-looked, either.

Apple’s most affordable iPhone just got an upgrade, but how does the new iPhone 17e compare to the iPhone 16e? Well, thankfully the price remains the same at $599, which is good news in our current economic climate. An immediate difference you might notice is that one of them now comes in a third color: pink. That’s at least one win for me because I am all for putting more color into tech. There are a few differences under the hood as well, namely that the iPhone 17e is arriving with the A19 chi...
