A day after launch, Starsand Island's devs address those user agreement, modding, and fake review concerns

This is probably a sentence that could be said literally any day of the week, but a new cosy farming sim is on the block, this time taking the form of Starsand Island. "It's going to be a very long goodbye" - Peter Molyneux's last game will be Masters of Albion, but that's not necessarily as simple as it sounds

Peter Molyneux has had a divisive career. On the one hand, he's celebrated as the creator of the god game and for making classics like Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and Fable. Whereas on the other hand, he's been derided for overexaggerating promises related to mobile game Curiosity and crowdfunded game Godus, and for getting involved in NFTs with a game unironically called Legacy. Backlash pushed him away from the public eye, but in late 2024 he returned to announce Masters of Albion,...

Wildlight Entertainment, the studio behind Highguard, has laid off many staffers. Level designer Alex Graner wrote in a LinkedIn post that the layoffs impacted "most of the team." The company says it's keeping a "core group of developers to continue innovating on and supporting the game." That sounds like a skeleton crew. ShipShaper is a chill boat builder with a demo you can use to make sleek sloops or beastly barges
