macOS: Share a Link That Jumps to a Specific Line on a Webpage

Sometimes when you share a webpage link with someone, you just want to bring their attention to a specific passage or sentence to make your point, rather than have them read through the entire article. In 2020, Google added a function to its Chrome browser called Scroll to Text Fragment (STTF) that helps you achieve this. It allows URLs to link directly to any visible text on a page. You may have seen it work in Google Search, where clicking on a link in your returned results takes you to a high...

You’ll create a surface base from holographic modules, gather evidence about a doomed science expedition, research a wacky new element, and unearth the dirty secrets of your employer. It sounds a lot like Coffee Stain’s Satisfactory, with opportunities for automation later on, but it’s viewed from an elevated third-person perspective, and ...

Nintendo Store App Receives A Small But Welcome Update

Browser's inside story. Late last year, Nintendo finally brought the former Japan-exclusive 'My Nintendo' app to the West, under the new name of Nintendo Store. We all used it to take a brief glance at our playtime breakdowns, then consigned it to the pile of other unused apps in our phone's storage, thanks to its reliance on funnelling us to the My Nintendo Store website. The constant channels to your preferred web browser are still prevalent in the app today, but a new update is moving things ...

Team Ninja fix a terrifying "very rare" Nioh 3 bug that corrupts your save when you pray at shrine checkpoints

Nioh 3 “is less punishing” than Nioh 1 and Nioh 2, according to our reviewer Jeremy Blum. In a fine example of the Duality of Man, this observation forms part of a sentence in which Jeremy also confesses to smashing a hole in his desk with his controller. I can only imagine the destruction if he’d run into one particular “very rare” Nioh 3 bug, recently patched out, which causes the game to corrupt your save data if you end the game while praying at shrines.

Samsung is planning to follow Apple in adding a variable aperture to its smartphone cameras, Korea's ET News reports. This means that in dark environments, the aperture can be opened to receive more light, while in light environments, it can be closed to prevent over-exposure. It also should provide users with greater control over depth of field, which refers to how sharp a subject appears in the foregro...

I'm just a tiny mining droid trying to carve an upward path through the brutalist monolith that dominates the skyline. Not hurting anyone, am I? Yet, I'd be making much better progress if it weren't for the pesky red-eyed monsters that keep attacking my base. They're just afraid of change – NIMBYs the lot of them. Review: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties (Switch 2) - Maybe It's Time To Take A Break

Daddy issues. I’m of the opinion that there are no bad Yakuza games. Although the series has definitely fluctuated in quality over the years, they always offer up something to keep me engaged and satisfied. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is still a decent entry, but it’s also bloated, poorly paced, and marred in controversy surrounding the recasting of a key character. Frankly, I’d argue that RGG’s prolificacy is starting to have an impact on the quality of its games, and it might be time to take a...
