Metroid Prime Dev's Cancelled 3D Platformer 'Harmony' Streamed Online For More Than Four Hours

Before being taken down. Retro Studios might be best-known as the Metroid Prime developer, but over the years it's dabbled in various other series and even some concepts that were never released. One of these was the cancelled 3D platformer known as Harmony. This "linear 3D" game was in development during the Wii U generation and was supposedly stopped in its tracks when the Austin, Texas-based team was tasked with saving Metroid Prime 4.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge hands-on: Less smartphone, more compromises

After teasing us for months, Samsung has formally revealed the Galaxy S25 Edge. At just 5.8 millimeters (0.22 inches) thick, it’s the slimmest member of the S25 family — and its slimmest smartphone ever. It’s available to preorder now and launches on 30 May, starting at $1,100. Samsung said that S25 Edge “unlocks a new era of growth for the mobile industry" — and it’s easy (too easy!) to cynically see this as a way of hawking another Samsung phone into a thinner — and yet similar — slice of hard...

Samsung Debuts New Super Thin Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung today introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, an ultra thin smartphone that will compete with Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air. The Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and it measures in at 5.8mm thick. Comparatively, rumors suggest that the ‌iPhone 17 Air‌ will have a 6.6-inch display and a thickness of 5.5mm, so it may be slightly smaller and thinner than the S25 Edge. The Galaxy S25 Edge weighs 163 grams, so the thin design and the light weight are noticeable when it is compared ...

Apple to Block Mac Apps From Secretly Accessing Your Clipboard

Apple is planning to implement a change to pasteboard (aka your iPhone's internal clipboard) that will prevent Mac apps from being able to read the pasteboard without the user being alerted, according to information Apple has shared with developers. In macOS 16, Mac users will get an alert when a Mac app reads the pasteboard without direct user interaction. This change means apps won't be able to surreptitiously view the things you've copied and pasted. Mac users won't see an alert with a direct...

Elden Ring Nightreign Remembrances are your key to unlocking loads of lore

FromSoftware’s streak of creating outstanding dark fantasy RPGs is absolutely remarkable, and the deep lore and narrative threads that run throughout them are a huge part of what makes them so great. With Elden Ring Nightreign, though, I’d be understanding if narrative took a back seat. While some games like Destiny 2 have proven that you can mix online multiplayer action with brilliant storytelling, it’s had years to work on its formula - for FromSoft, Nightreign is very much a first venture in...

Forget all the controversy that surrounded it for a moment - Stellar Blade was one of the biggest games of last year. It was by no means a boundary-pushing project in the gameplay department, but it was a visually stunning and narratively solid action game that also flew off of the shelves. A sore spot though is that it’s only been available on the PS5 - efforts to bring Stellar Blade to PC were announced a while ago, but we’re still yet to see it arrive on platforms like Steam.
