What's going on here? Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct highlighted all sorts of new and existing titles but one of the more interesting discoveries in the American broadcast was a box art for what appears to be the 3DS version of Yoshi's Woolly World (officially known as Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World) in the "compatible Nintendo Switch titles".

Sonic and much more is on the way. Nintendo overloaded fans during the Switch 2 Direct with all sorts of game announcements, and if you didn't catch - Sega will actually bringing five titles to the system during its launch window.

Active Expansion Pack subscription required. Nintendo has announced it will be releasing paid "Switch 2 Edition" upgrade packs for select Switch games. It seems you won't actually have to fork out extra (for at least some games) if you already have access to the title and an active Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. As highlighted by Nintendo, these packs will be "no additional cost" to access for subscribers:

Samus unlocked a new upgrade. Well, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has now been officially confirmed as a cross-generation title, falling under Nintendo's new and enhanced line for the Switch 2. In case you missed it, the game will support two modes - Quality Mode and Performance Mode. As we've previously mentioned, it will run at 4K at 60fps with HDR or 1080p at 120fps with HDR in docked. And on handheld, the choice will be either 1080p at 60fps or 720p at 120fps.
