Samsung's midrange Galaxy A56 has AI photo editing and a bump for its buttons

While I naively hoped to see the Galaxy S25 Edge ahead of MWC, that wasn’t what I saw last week at Samsung's pre-show briefing. However, what I did see might intrigue many of you: a cheaper slice of Galaxy hardware in the form of the Galaxy A56. It will be available later this year, starting at $499 (or £499 in the UK), which is slightly cheaper than the Pixel 8a when it first appeared. Samsung also announced the Galaxy A36 and A26 today, and they'll start at $399 and $299 respectively.  Many of...

Apple's Discontinued Line of AirPort Wi-Fi Routers Could Return in an Unexpected Way

Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Apple offered a line of Wi-Fi routers that it referred to as AirPort base stations. There was a standard AirPort Express, a higher-end AirPort Extreme with more advanced networking features, and an AirPort Time Capsule that doubled as an external storage drive for backing up a Mac with Time Machine. Apple discontinued the AirPort line in 2018, but the company could return to the Wi-Fi router market in an unexpected way in the future. Back in December, Bloomberg's ...

Interstellar action RPG Everspace 2 teases four mysterious zones in its new DLC

I never clicked with the space combat of Starfield, and while the sprawling sandbox freedom of No Man’s Sky holds an appeal, its flight isn’t quite what I’m looking for either. Elite Dangerous and X4 offer more robust simulations, but Everspace 2 is more my speed. Fast, exciting, and with the options to tune its more arcadey action with more simulation-style settings, it’s a loot-driven, interstellar answer to Diablo - and it’s about to get even bigger. Rockfish Games showcases four new systems ...

iPhone 17 Air's Ultra-Thin Design Will Result in These 3 Missing Features

The thin and light design of Apple's rumored "iPhone 17 Air" will require some compromises. The device is rumored to lack three features found on many iPhone models, including a bottom speaker, an Ultra Wide camera, and a SIM card slot internationally. The Information last year reported that the ultra-thin iPhone 17 model will have only a single speaker, built into the earpiece at the top of the device. This rumor appears to be accurate, as 3D renders of the iPhone 17 Air that have surfaced in r...
