Some things I have smashed through in the demo for Deliver At All Costs: fire hydrants, surf boards, barns, an entire laundromat, street lamps, palm trees, garbage cans, several pedestrians, mailboxes, food stalls, fish markets, brick walls, a lookout tower, dumpsters, housewives, the city fountain, and a row of unsuspecting sunbathers. This toy-like messabout is proof of one thing. Almost every problem can be solved by driving a 1950s truck straight through it.

With both the AMD Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards set to be officially imminently unveiled, a confusing new price leak has left us scratching our heads. Early listings for these cards at Micro Center show prices starting at $649.99 for the RX 9070 and $699 for the 9070 XT, but going as high as $1,100, well above what we’d expect these cards to cost. The lower end of the scale, if confirmed, would place the cheapest of these AMD gaming GPUs between two of the new Nvidia mid-tier card...

There's no setting quite as iconic as Dungeons and Dragons' Forgotten Realms. A sprawling high-fantasy world shimmering with magic and mystery, it's become the backdrop for millions of virtual and tabletop adventures. While Mages of Mystralia isn't a DnD game in name or setting, its overarching narrative is the brainchild of Ed Greenwood, the creator of the Forgotten Realms, and it wears its lineage on its sleeve. So if you, like me, are looking for yet another fantasy RPG in the wake of Baldur'...

There’s a long history of games using… let’s say creative solutions to get around licensing problems. This is especially true in sports games: Baseball video games long had to figure out alternatives to superstar Barry Bonds, who famously refused to license his name and likeness for games. (It’s the same for football games and coach...

A budget-friendly Nvidia graphics card with two different variants could be readying up for a launch in just a few weeks. That’s according to a new rumor that suggests the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is already in production, with Nvidia planning to launch 8GB and 16GB VRAM versions of the card in March and April. We’ve seen hints of this new Nvidia graphics card already, thanks to an earlier RTX 5060 Ti leak which also suggested that two VRAM options were in the works, much like its direct prede...

Sony is permanently reducing the price of the PlayStation VR2. Starting in March, the headset will cost $400, €450 and £400 — down from $550, €600 and £530, respectively. Included in the price cut is the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle, which, like the standard package, will cost $400, €450 or £400 depending on your region. While it’s been possible to buy the PS VR2 for less than $400 during recent sales, the new pricing should give retailers the flexibility to discount the device even more ...

Ukraine-based independent games studio Reburn have just announced a new shooter, La Quimera, which I would summarise as Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Cyberpunk 2077 playing kiss-chase in the near-future jungles and neon sprawls of Latin America. It’s got world and narrative writing from Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, and is playable in single player with three-person co-op support. Here’s a trailer.

The Metro series has some of the best gun battles in the history of FPS games. Often, single-player shooters are all about spectacle and scale - in Doom Eternal, Half-Life, and Ultrakill, the excitement comes from outlandish weapons, hordes of enemies, and rapid movement. But Metro slows it down. You’re against a small number of highly lethal enemies. You don’t have many bullets. Your guns feel like they could fall apart. Six years after Metro Exodus, its creator, 4A Games Ukraine, is finally ba...

Mega or mediocre? Well folks, another Pokémon Presents has come and gone, and it pretty much delivered exactly what we were expecting. The biggest draw was obviously Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where we got a good look at some gameplay along with confirmation that Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile will be the game's starter Pokémon. Not only that, but Mega Evolutions will feature, battle arenas appear to be larger than ever, and you'll be meeting one of two possible human allies: Urbain or Taunie.
