The best security cameras for 2025

Security cameras can give you peace of mind by watching things when you’re out of the house. They can also help keep tabs on your pets’ actions or let you check in on other parts of your property like your backyard. Set them up outdoors or at a window and you can get notifications when someone’s delivering a package or heading to your door.Of course, anything that takes footage in and around your home is a privacy risk, so you’ll want to look for security cameras with proper privacy features. Free Marvel Rivals units are available for a limited time after a server outage

NetEase Games is giving every single Marvel Rivals player some free in-game currency following a huge server issue. You don’t have forever to claim the gift, however, so I wouldn’t wait around until the last minute. Still, such a short period of downtime being met by free in-game currency is always a nice surprise to wake up to.

Seekers of Skyveil is League of Legends with extraction mechanics, demo out now

The MOBA genre has been silent for a long time. Presided over by twin titans Dota 2 and League of Legends, we've seen challengers come and go, with most failing to really carve out a place for themselves. But that's slowly changing. 2024 saw the revival of Predecessor, a remake of Epic Games' Paragon, as well as the rise of Supervive, Theorycraft Games' colorful MOBA brawler hybrid. Then, of course, there's Deadlock, Valve's newest project that's already proven itself a worthy challenger despite...

Apple Cuts Off Russian Access to Its Developer Enterprise Program

Apple has reportedly shut down access to the Apple Developer Enterprise Program (ADEP) for Russian developers. Russian IT sources told RBC that developers lost access to the platform on February 12. The shutdown means Russian developers can no longer use ADEP to create and distribute custom iOS apps for internal use without going through the App Store. A software company in St. Petersburg confirmed to the media outlet that all program data had been erased, making ADEP unusable. Prior to the cut-...

Assassin's Creed Shadows has leaked a month before release, and Ubisoft are cracking down on stealthy early videos

In typical shinobi style, Assassin's Creed Shadows has slipped through the cracks of physical and digital retail and sneakishly released itself a month ahead of schedule. The game is due to launch on 20th March, but people are already posting photographs of boxed copies, while others say they've managed to lift a code from the crevices of the PlayStation store. Videos of the game have been popping up on Youtube like Ninja Whac-a-Moles, no sooner seen than shurikened by Ubisoft's lawyers. Quite h...

I don't know what's going on in this story trailer for Lies Of P Overture but it does have some sad, familiar music for fans

A new story trailer for the upcoming Lies Of P Overture expansion shows us more of the "legendary stalker" the player will be following through the snowy surroundings of Krat. The lore is served up raw with a heavy garnishing of opaque chatter that explains absolutely nothing. But I hear that's how you cook a soulslike story. Come watch and see if you can understand more of the stalker's words than I do. You probably will if you recognise the classical tune playing underneath it all.

The ultra nostalgic Team Fortress 2 Classic is finally coming to Steam

When an online game has been around for a decade or more, it often evolves into something new. Overwatch became Overwatch 2, OSRS split off from RuneScape, and even Destiny eventually got a sequel. Valve's Team Fortress 2 is no different. Made free-to-play in 2011 and smothered in updates since then, it's still one of the biggest games on Steam despite being very different from its original form. Now, the longstanding TF2 Classic mod is finally coming to Valve's platform, and it offers entirely ...

Apple's Phil Schiller Initially Opposed 27% App Store Fee on External Purchases

Apple Fellow Phil Schiller testified in court on Monday that he initially opposed the 27% commission Apple now charges on purchases made outside the App Store, citing compliance risks and potential developer backlash (via AP News). Schiller, who oversees the App Store, said he had concerns that the fee would create an "antagonistic relationship" between Apple and developers, and worried about Apple becoming "some kind of collection agency" that might need to audit developers who didn't pay. Never mind the crafting, Squirreled Away is at its best when you’re simply a scampering rodent

I’ve been trying the demo for Squirreled Away, and for some reason it keeps wanting me to play it as some kinda 2024-as-heck survival crafting game. At this, I make several rapid sniffing-like movements, then scarper adeptly yet dismissively up the nearest tree. It’s just far more fun to treat this as a casual squirrel sim, or, at the very least, a platformer where you occasionally need to steal some strawberries.
