Now that Alan Wake 2 is out, we're seeing a lot of discussion over how the game runs, given the high bar it sets for your gaming hardware. We're now seeing that Alan Wake 2 can run on older, unsupported GPUs, just, don't expect it to be more than a very pretty slideshow.

PlayStation's head of internal game production Connie Booth has departed Sony after more than three decades, the company has now confirmed. Booth's departure had been discussed earlier this week by outspoken former game director David Jaffe, another PlayStation alumnus. In a further video published yesterday, Jaffe alleged that Booth had been fired amidst longer-term internal tensions around PlayStation studios moving to develop more live service games.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) on Thursday ordered a ban on Apple Watch imports into the country after finding that Apple violated pulse oximetry company Masimo's patents with the devices (via Reuters). The ban is now subject to presidential review, so it does not take effect immediately, and Apple can take the ban to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit after the 60-day review period ends. If you're looking for something to dip into this weekend, there's a free Diablo 4 PC trial which gives players access to all content from the game so far. The trial is already live and will continue until Monday 30th October. Not a bad way to spend the weekend before Halloween! Prime cut. Retro specialist Mega Cat Studios has announced The Meating, a brand new NES title that's heading to Kickstarter today. With a projected release in Q1 2024, The Meating features puzzle-platforming gameplay across over 40 unique stages. You'll play as a 'ghost minotaur', whose mission is to 'to put his meat back together' and figure out just who it was that butchered him. You'll be using an array of ghostly skills to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

In 2021, Hertz announced that it was going to order 100,000 electric vehicles from Tesla by the end of 2022.
