How to uninstall Valorant

How do you uninstall Valorant? It’s okay to uninstall games - we do it all the time. Whether you want to take a little break and don’t want the temptation of that desktop shortcut, or you’re just done with it altogether, freeing up that hard drive space for something potentially more worthy is a positive move. Some people have found uninstalling Valorant a little tricky, however. Riot Game’s hyper-competitive shooter Valorant still has many players enthralled years after release. It turns out th...

2023 has a new worst PC game of the year

2023 has a new worst PC game of the year

2023 has been quite the year for gaming. We've seen highs like Starfield, Baldur's Gate 3, and Diablo 4, and success stories for indie games like Sea of Stars and Dave the Diver. We've seen some absolute flops too, though: Redfall and Lord of the Rings: Gollum, I'm looking at you. As we delve deeper into spooky season and winter approaches, I didn't think there was any room for more bottom-tier games, but Skull Island: Rise of Kong might just have snatched the last place crown.

The best budget gaming PCs can deliver great performance despite their price tag. It’s all about compromises and knowing where you can make concessions to price without necessarily tanking gaming performance. Each cheap desktop option in this guide will bring you solidly into the gaming sphere for considerably less cash than a flagship gaming PC. The convenience of a prebuilt PC means you avoid having to learn how to install a graphics card or how to install a power supply. But while top-end rig...

Europa Universalis 4 has some stiff competition these days. Nevertheless, EU4 stands out for its depth and historical detail. Relive The Events Of Alan Wake In New Alan Wake: Flashback Fortnite Experience

Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Fortnite creative experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion.  Epic Games says Alan...

Valorant patch notes – 7.08 update adds much-needed smoke changes

As an Astra player, I love watching my enemies tentatively step into my sparkling purple nebula, guns at the ready, terrified that one misstep will lead to them losing their heads. That sense of power is fun if you're the smoker, but not so much if you're on the receiving end of it. With the latest round of Valorant patch notes, though, tracking smokes and their respective timers just got a lot easier.

Intel Core i5 14600K review

The Intel Core i5 14600K carries on the tradition of its Alder Lake and Raptor Lake predecessors, in that it's a surprisingly perky midrange gaming processor that offers good levels of performance in gaming and creative applications. However, despite being a new generation in name, this CPU and its siblings can't escape the reality that they offer little in terms of generational improvements, performing more like a refresh in practice.

Intel Core i9 14900K and Core i5 14600K review: the definition of iterative

Intel's "Raptor Lake Refresh" 14th-gen CPUs are here, reprising the designs and prices we saw on 13th-gen models, but bumping up clock speeds - up to 6GHz for the flagship 14900K. These minor changes come thanks to manufacturing improvements and more generous binning, but are they enough to break the deadlock and give Intel the fastest gaming CPU title once more? We've received the 14900K and 14600K to find out, as we put Intel's latest against our usual barrage of game benchmarks and content cr...

Epic Games layoffs included almost half of Bandcamp's staff

"At least" half of Bandcamp's staff was laid off ahead of its sale by Epic Games to music licensing and distribution platform Songtradr. Epic only acquired Bandcamp, the self-styled "online record store and music community", last year. As we reported back in 2022, the Fortnite and Unreal Engine developer said this acquisition was all part of its vision to build out a "creator marketplace ecosystem". Its subsequent sale to Songtradr was then announced last month. In a statement shared with Euroga...
