Just Stop Oil protestors arrested after interrupting EGX tournament

A group of Just Stop Oil protestors made a scene at EGX yesterday, and interrupted a Tekken esports tournament. EGX, the UK's biggest games event, ran from Thursday to Sunday last week and is run by Eurogamer's parent company Reedpop. Protestors attempted to squirt orange paint at a screen displaying an in-progress Tekken match, before daubing more on the two players' screens. They then began a short speech, before being dragged off by security.

The Payday 3 Steam player count has fallen 90% in less than a month, while predecessor Payday 2 is currently experiencing a surge in popularity on Valve’s platform. Minecraft has now sold over 300 million copies

Minecraft is turning 15 next year and we've been given insight into how popular it still is in the lead up: the game has now sold more than 300 million copies. To put that in perspective, Grand Theft Auto V is not even a close second, with over 185 million copies sold. Even its slightly later release (2013) doesn't do much to make up for the gap — especially considering Minecraft surpassed the 200 million mark in 2020.  Mojang Studios announced the achievement during a Minecraft Live event that ...

Review: Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged - A Cool, Creative Racer That Expands The Playset

Burning rubber. Hot Wheels, man. We remember those. In the '90s almost every Saturday morning ad break featured a Hot Wheels commercial braying out superlative adjectives over thrashy rock solos. Invariably, two pearly-toothed, spiky-haired kids would grin as their miniature cars jostled for pole position, giving each other a thumbs-up after a totally tubular crash. All we ever wanted was a simple orange loop — because the loop was the coolest gravity-defying thing ever — but we never got one be...
